A hedgehog emerges from the flapping wings of persistence. A beginning rich with the splendor of possibility.

About this work: This was so splendid to paint! I loved watching it come through brushstrokes in an unassuming way.

Although symbolism can be very individual, hedgehogs have often shown up for me to offer hope for a new beginning that materializes through claiming my journey and life experiences.
